In view of the ongoing redevelopment work at Jammu Tawi Railway Station and keeping in mind the convenience and smooth movement of passengers, a partial change has been made in the entry and exit arrangements at the station.
Under the new arrangement, from 16th September 2026, Platform No. 1 side has been designated as the entry gate for passengers arriving at the railway station, while the Second Side (Narwal Side) has been started as the exit from the station._
The new arrangement will be as follows:
1. For Entry: All passengers will enter the railway station from Platform No. 1 side. In case the train arrives at Platform No. 1, the family members/relatives who have come to drop the passengers can also exit from Platform No. 1 side.
2. For Exit: Passengers deboarding the train after completing their journey will exit from the Second Side (Narwal Side).
That is, entry will be from Platform No. 1 side and exit will be from the Second Side (Narwal Side).
This circulation arrangement has been prepared giving top priority to passenger convenience, safety and security. This will be a purely temporary arrangement for smooth resolution of obstacles and challenges arising during the station redevelopment work, so that the construction work continues unhindered and passengers do not face any inconvenience in movement.
All passengers are requested to follow this new arrangement and follow the directional signage installed at the station to avoid inconvenience. After the completion of the redevelopment work, passengers will get more modern and world-class facilities.
